"Damn it. Another hold-up" she complains to the mirror and dashes off down the hall, a trail of water, glitter and talc in her wake.<br /><br />The phone stops just as she gets to the bedroom. "Bugger!" she yells at it, but it offers no response. It takes her a moment to recognise the quiet tune she hears next as coming from her mobile, in her handbag, which is still on the bathroom floor. <br /><br />She opts not to make the dash back to the bathroom, knowing that it will most likely have cut to voicemail before she gets there, and it is most likely the same person who has just abandoned a call to her landline.
